Learn Who We Are
Infinity Wellminds Psychiatry & Wellness provides psychiatric and behavioral health care for children and adults from ages 5 through adulthood through in-person services in Tacoma, Washington, and secure telehealth visits. Care is designed around the concerns individuals bring to treatment, whether they are seeking help for the first time, managing ongoing symptoms, or looking for a different approach after a previous treatment experience.
Dr. Christencia N. Obinna-Igbokwe, DNP, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and the founder and lead provider. With more than two decades of nursing experience, she works with children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma-related symptoms, and perinatal mental health needs.
How We Approach Care
Psychiatric care begins with understanding the person behind the symptoms. Evaluations consider the individual’s current concerns, relevant history, daily functioning, and circumstances, while evidence-based tools such as the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAM-D), GAD-7, PHQ-9, ADHD self-assessment scales, and other relevant assessments may be used when appropriate.
Treatment may include medication management, psychotherapy, practical coping strategies, and other clinically appropriate interventions. Motivational interviewing and collaborative discussion can help patients participate in decisions about their care while allowing treatment recommendations to reflect their individual circumstances and preferences.
For patients in Tacoma, in-person care provides access to psychiatric services within the local community, while secure telehealth extends services to individuals across Washington State, Colorado, and New Mexico where the provider is licensed. The practice serves adolescents and adults with a range of psychiatric concerns, with care structured according to the symptoms, clinical needs, and circumstances presented by each patient.
